The Olds College Rodeo Team prides themselves on continually growing andimproving the team, while striving for high academic performance. Olds Collegeprovides on-campus boarding with both individual and shared penning options. Feed is sourced and provided by the campus and student-athletes are able to feed and care for their own horses. Practices are offered four nights a week in a heated indoor arena as well as scheduled riding time on the weekends. Coaches are on campus and in the practice pen at every opportunity and are committed to guiding team members to excel, both personally and as a team.

With over 50 years of achievements, the Olds College Rodeo Team is incredibly proud of the successes and reputation built over the years. In recent years, the Varsity Team has brought home two championship banners, one at the conclusion of the 2023-2024 season, and again this past season. Beginning with a small Varsity Team of only 14 athletes, we are very proud to have grown to over 35 student-athletes, all recognized through Broncos Athletics. Through Broncos Athletics, student-athletes have access to strength & conditioning training, mental training, nutrition, apparel, and support campus-wide.

The Olds College Rodeo Team values the commitment and work ethic of each member. We encourage all students, whether they are a Varsity member or not, to join the conversation and be a part of the team. Our team’s goal is to create a welcoming atmosphere for all students to learn and enjoy the sport of rodeo. Student-athletes work together at practices and events put on throughout the year to fundraise and create opportunities for the team and for the college. Olds College Rodeo Team members are eligible for approximately $11,500 in Athletic Scholarship opportunities, nominated by the coaching staff based on team involvement, rodeo achievements, personal improvements, team spirit, etc.. Olds College student-athletes are devoted to representing the college and community at the highest level possible while promoting and taking pride in our heritage, rodeo.
